In conclusion we see that Nineteen Eighty-four has a very effective method of control through the thoughts and emotions of the majority of the citizens of the novel. Starting at a very early age, the brain washing and controlling has begun. Party members of Nineteen Eighty-four are trapped in a miserable world of isolation from others under constant surveillance by the great Thought Police and telescreens.
