of power to help convey his massages of love. The fairies, Hermia and Lysander, Egeus, and Helena all possess different forms of power whether it be through authority, perception or desire. These powers develop conflict and tension within the play and add excitement and drama within. Without the concept of power, the play would have never have been able to gain the status it has today. Power adds direction to the lovers conflicts and passages.
