As children grow up they should learn to make their own decisions independent of their parents. Children that grow up and don't know how to make their own decisions will have problems when they are on their own. Parents shouldn't bribe or manipulate their children into making the decision that they prefer. Learning to make decisions on their own is important to their future. Children need to have a mind of their own but that doesn't mean that parents can't teach them to make right decisions.
