Afghanistan
Afghanistan today is a disastrous state, it has a poor economy, people
are dying of war and hunger. Afghanistan is not ruled by a government or a
group of people. The majority of Afghanistan cities are under Taliban rule.
The exact population is not know but it is estimated to be around 21- 26
million people.
There are four major ethnic groups in Afghanistan, they are,
Pashtoons, Tajiks, Hazarus, and Uzbeks. The languages of Afghanistan

invaded and occupied by the Soviet Union in
1979. The USSR was forced to withdraw 10 years later by anti-
communist mujahidin forces supplied and trained by the US, Saudi
Arabia, Pakistan, and others. Fighting subsequently continued among
the various mujahidin factions, but the fundamentalist Islamic Taliban
movement has been able to seize most of the country. In addition to
the continuing civil strife, the country suffers from enormous poverty,
a crumbling infrastructure, and widespread land mines.
