rks determine that war is disruptive despite their many differences. Wilfred Owen died at the young age of twenty-five years, but he lived long enough to witness the realms of war. Though Amy Lowell could not have experienced war at first hand, she is not so ignorant to the fact that war is a vile monster that takes life in its jaws and eradicates it. Perhaps that is what these two poems are all about.
