In conclusion I think that Robert shouldn't have tried to hint at the ironic result of the story or rather he should have tried to be subtle about it. What makes this story so remarkable is that you don't know that you have been mislead until the end of the story. The main character was also misled up until the end and there in lies the irony, the beauty of this wonderfully written short story.
