Angela's Ashes is a story written about the life of the author. Frank McCourt's family was poor. They lived in America (New York). Frank had a brother named Malachy. He also had two twin brothers, Oliver and Eugene. His mother (Angela) gave birth to a daughter named Margaret who died in infancy. His father would drink away his paycheck leaving the family with no money to get food. When Margaret was born, he stopped drinking.

around the lines of the characters. It got me confused because I was never sure when someone was talking.
This novel reminds me of those infomercials on TV that shows the countries with all of the poor children. It makes me sad to see that, so this book made me sad. I kept thinking of Frankie and all of the children on the infomercials dressed in rags with their little bones sticking out all over.
