Animal Farm is one of George Orwell's most renowned works, and can also be considered one of the greatest pieces in classical literature. The idea behind Animal Farm was so make mockery out of the communist ideology that was being introduced in Russia at the time. The book was quite enjoyable and I thought the irony that was presented in many parts was very appropriate and very clever. However I thought that there were parts of the book that was in need of more thorough explanation such as Moses the raven who seemed to have no particular reason to be in the book.
