After reading Antigone by an ancient Greek play writer, Sopocles, one might realized that Sopocles uses imagery. Imagery is the use of vivid or figurative language to represent objects, actions, or ideas. It can be found that he uses many different things in his play to show imagery. a bird. The bird was not picked over another animal because of its certain traits. It was just by luck. Sophocles had not intention of making the bird a central idea in this book. The bird being used thorough out the play has no real effect on anything. It is just another word. If it would have made a difference it would have only had one meaning to it. However, it had many different meanings.
