Everything around the world has its own history and features, even my small apartment has its history. While I am taking urban sociology class, I became curious about the history and community of Astoria where I live.

One good reason living Astoria is convenience of transportation. For most of the places in Astoria, it is needless to drive because of the well-developed subway system. Also, the crime rate in Astoria is relatively low. I, personally as a resident, feel safe living in this area.
