and Lady Bracknell is shallow as well for not accepting Mr. Worthing due to
the fact he was found in a hand bag at birth. For Mr. Worthing to love someone so
shallow as Gwendolen is very comical and shows how much she means to him by
adopting the name of "Ernest". Act one of the play catches the audience's attention
with the humour involved and is the start to an all around humourous play.
