The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer demonstrates the diverse personalities in society. The ability of all people to relate to the characters makes their themes understandable. In the Prologue Chaucer introduces briefly the characters of the work. Each character uniquely presents traits and themes all can apply.
