and Wuthering Height, fail to achieve love with the wealth they have, instead they are left with loneness. Both novels showed how greed and money could be an obstacle in finding true love. If Daisy and Catherine were not greed about wealth, they would have easily achieved love from Heathcliff and Gatsby. However, it seems only fair that these characters have to sacrifice something for all the wealth they have, this includes happiness and love.
