Background
Colombia is the third-most populous country in Latin America, after Brazil
and Mexico. Movement from rural to urban areas has been heavy. The urban population increased from 57% of the total population in 1951 to about 74% by 1994. Thirty cities have a population of 100,000 or more. Their population is about 42 million people with an annual growth of 1.8%. The Republic of Colombia is roughly 1.2 million km in area, or about the size of Texas, Arkansas, and New Mexico

There must be some kind of opportunity in Colombia otherwise companies such as DHL and American Express would not open their doors there. Although the peso has devaluated for so long, it appears that it may be on the rebound, and if this rebound continues it can only bring good things to Colombia.
