After reading this chapter, I was able to understand some of the effects that urbanization can have on the environment and just drastic and detrimental they can be. This seriously affects the respiration of fish and aquatic invertebrates and can lead to a decrease in animal and plant diversity, which in turn affects the use of the water for fishing, swimming, and boating. Lastly, too much nitrate in drinking water can be harmful to young infants or young livestock, which is always a concern. I think that is a major concern and that something should definitely be done to combat this problem.
