to suffer in death. However, she believes that Hamlet has gone insane and does not care for her, and recently has lost her own sanity as well. As such, her suicide is the crazed act of a woman scorned, much better suited for arguing a completely different thesis. So throughout Hamlet, the point remains strong: a person will choose to be rather than not to be, for fear of the consequences of the latter choice.
