By proving his love for his daughter, Luke sacrificed a part of himself in the process, but gained a deeper respect for God and his daughter and a profound meaning for living. It was a natural instinct that Luke would do anything in his power to protect his daughter, acting out of love in weakness, as God did by sending his Son to earth to redeem the world's sins.
