Fredrick Douglass was a courageous African-American man. He fought against slavery using his outstanding intelligence, which helped prove his race was equal to the majority race that suppressed them. In 1845, Douglass wrote his Narrative of The Life. It was a heavily influential book against the idea and practice of slavery, that remains popular to this day. truly important in the fight against slavery. His narrative informed different people. Finally the truth about slavery was heard loudly, in the words of the ex-slave, Fredrick Douglass. Without Douglass' invaluable intelligence and writing it is possible that the path of abolishing slavery may have been extremely different. I found Douglass to be just who Garrison had described, a heroic and courageous man, who selflessly risked his life to fight for those who were captive.
