even send flowers to the funeral. In the end, it is not surprising that he judges Gatsby to be worth more than the rest of the materialistic characters.
In conclusion, the experience with Gatsby and the others took its toll on him. Nick seems to eventually become corrupt because of the corrupt people around him. Though he is very critical of what others do, he is the more principled character in comparison to the rest.
