to be respected. The women are powerful and strong and could take on problems as did Hester and her trials and tribulations. Hester endured both mental and physical changes during her isolation, which deserves to be respected. Also the narrator tries to convey that not only are these women beautiful physically, but they are beautiful as people because they are so prevailing, strong minded, loving, passionate, and affectionate. These beautiful people deserve to be respected.
