What is intelligence? A person may be immensely knowledgeable in a certain academic field, however, completely inept in another. Does this mean that the person is intelligent or simply unknowledgeable in certain areas? Intelligence is having the capacity to apply knowledge.

In fact, the running back is going through the stages of this high level process so fast that people of lower intelligence don't realize what is taking place. Because they can't see the stages of the process as they unfold, they think what they see is all there is to the process. One could argue that this type of thinking is typical of people whose intelligence is not as high as they think it is.
