A first-time freshman making a decision about whether to attend a Junior College or a State University faces many important considerations. While there are obvious similarities such as the educated and professional staff, diversity for courses of instruction, transferable and non-transferable classes, and on-campus activities and services, there are more than a few differences. Take the time, make the effort to compare your options. In my case, the comparison was clearly in favor of attending the Junior College. I can complete my two-year, Associate of Arts Degree and then transfer to a University when I have a more solid foundation and can make an informed career choice.
