Malcolm X was born on May 19, 1925 and about four years later Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929. Both men were the sons of Baptist preachers. Although their goals were the same, the means in which to achieve them were different. Malcolm believed in "any means necessary", and King believed in peaceful rallies and equal rights for all people regardless of race.
