According to the classical view, the undoing or downfall of the
main character(s) in a tragedy is brought about through a tragic flaw in the character or through
a tragic error. There are many factors which contribute to the degeneration of Macbeth of
which three will be discussed. The three points which contribute greatly to Macbeth's
change's are the prophecy which was told to him by the witches, how Lady Macbeth
influenced and manipulated

Lady Macbeth, but the main downfall for Macbeth was ambition, and the main
downfall for Lady Maceth was guilt. A tragic hero is a character that the audience sympathizes
with despite his/her actions that would indicate the contrary, do both characters fit this
category?, very much so, because no matter how much wrong they do, you always feel like
sticking to thier side because how the definition says you sar to "sympatize" for them.
