In Shakespeare's Macbeth, one of the reoccurring themes throughout the play was "Fair is foul and foul is fair." This is used to explain that people and events may seem either good or bad, but after some inspection, turn out to be the opposite. There are many different paths in life that can lead to the same place. Many people would explain that is a person's fate. In some instances this may be true, but with Macbeth, I feel that it was his own actions and decisions along those paths that altered his final destination.
