I think that in the books nine through twelve, the main thing that was in common was the death of the people. First it was Odysseus who raided the Kikonians and than later when the kikonians turned everything over, it was Odysseus and his companions who flee from them nearly escaping death. After the kikonians they fell into the hands of the outrageous Cyclops, who ate his companions. Odysseus, after loosing many of his companions …showed first 75 words of 356 total…

…showed last 75 words of 356 total…had known. Odysseus and his companions on their way back home once again came across death. Except this time he and especially his companions were not very lucky. His companions got corrupted by hunger and ate the cattle of Helios, which led to their destruction. Odysseus on the other hand ended up held captive by a goddess. There fore the events that led to his destruction and misery all come with something relating to death.
