Orpheus
ORPHEUS was the greatest musician of Greek myths. The son of the Callliope and Apollo,
god of music. Orphans was given the lyre by Apollo. Not only could Orpheus play the lyre,
he could also sing. It was said that when Orphans played and sang, , he made everything within
the sound hearing move. The trees and rock moved and his music was so beautiful it tamed wild
beasts, and the rivers changed course and

but Orpheus would not. The nymphs cried
so loudly that they could not hear the music , they were mad because Orpheus would not dance
with them. .The nymphs was so angry over Orpheus rejection that ripped Orpheus body apart
and threw his body in the river.
The muses grieved over Orpheus. They searched the seas for his body. When they found
Orpheus they gave him a proper funeral so he could be rejoined with Eurydice.
