Mark Twain lived a fantastic, colorful life which he in turn applied to colorful, imaginative books. He succeeded in writing the great American novel, even if there were a few bumps along the way. I enjoyed reading Life on the Mississippi, Pudd'nhead Wilson and The Prince and the Pauper and might read some more. The writing is easy to understand and semi-educational. Mark Twain was a conversational writer, who wrote the Great American Novel.
