RELEVANCE OF ENUMERATIVE CLASSIFICATION IN MODERN ERA
Whatever said by prachi in favour of faceted schemes of classification I totally disagree with her points. I strongly advocate use of enumerative classification in current context. Enumerative classification is good enough to handle the complexities of modern era. UDC itself is nothing but an extent ion of DDC with several complexities. Then why to use UDC?

information will be arranged properly. But in a faceted classification class number constructed by a classifier so there is a possibility of variation, for that one cannot blame it to the authority. So even in this regard DDC is a better option than UDC.
To conclude I can say using enumerative classification in current context is very relevant as it is authority based, removes complexities, economical in every sense and the easy retrieval is possible.
