U.S. scientists have discovered that breast cancer has a deadly migration path to the lungs and bone marrow. The reason for cancer cells choosing major organs has always puzzled scientists. To do this they injected breast cancer cells into mice in an effort to try to discover how to block the cells from metastasizing. They then in! jected the mice with antibodies that blocked the receptor from binding with the chemokine, preventing the metastasis.
