The Scarlet Letter shows throughout the entire book both sin and evil. The people that showed the most sin and/or evil throughout the book were Chillingworth, Dimmesdale, Hester, and Pearl. All of these people have done something evil or have committed some sort of sin that everyone knows about. Chillingworth was the one that demonstrated the most evil.
