Mark Twain, should be read by secondary school pupils for its rich lessons. Although racial views are expressed in the novel, Mark Twain conveys to the reader a message of anti-racism through the changes revealed in Huck's relationship with Jim. Huck Finn displays examples of a boy's maturity, a view of Southern life in the late 1800's, and a more distinct view inside a slaves thoughts which combine to bring an educational benefit to reader.
