a man dealing with the death of his wife. Also this brought upon the creation of The Raven. Poe soon there after watch his love
disappear. In his own words, he suffered "the horrible, never-ending oscillation between hope and despair." By channeling his
anger through The Raven it became a masterpiece and almost acted like therapy to the fierce fire in his heart.
