strong throughout the play, there would be no storyline. They set up reasoning behind the events that take place over the course of the play. By analyzing the actions of Iago as he corrupts Othello for personal gain, the actions of Roderigo as his jealousy towards Iago becomes more apparent, and through the actions of Othello as he becomes overwhelmed in anger towards Desdemona and Cassio, the theme of anger and jealousy appear to coincide.
