extreme. But we have to understand him because their culture is changing one. For a long time Okonkwo was exiled from his village that he didn't get to experience the changing culture. That is why he persuade the village people to start a war. The war didn't happen but he still hates white people. And above all, his first impression toward white people was not very good. He couldn't except white people nor their religion.
