She starts out as a mischievous and curious little girl and ends up as being a lot more mature with many experiences under her belt. She loses her desire to fight, gains respect for others, and gains responsibility for her actions. To Kill a Mockingbird was an excellent example of a novel where the reader easily sees the main character's maturation.
