It should be a principle that says to keep in mind that happiness is the goal but one should not do anything that does not feel morally right, even if it's best for the most people. Utilitarianism does seem to create the most utility, but sometimes makes people feel as if they are doing the wrong thing, even though the act seems to produce the most happiness.
