In the early years of television people where much more sensitive to what was said and took offense to any form of obscene language. Even in the movies it was unacceptable. Some people may find an angry dog chewing a small toy violent enough, while someone else finds decapitation is nothing to loose sleep over. Either way I believe that violence does influence the young mind, and unfortunatly thier is very little our society can do about it because we have let the situation get to far out of control.
