In many works of literature a female character has a significant influence, positive or negative. Two characters that have an influence are Mary Call from the novel Where the Lilies Bloom, by Vera and Bill Cleaver, and Calpurnia from the novel To Kill a Mockingbird, by Harper Lee. It just goes to show that female characters have both positive and negative effects on people.
