Salvador Dali, born May 11,1904 in Figueras, Spain, was a very influential Surrealist painter and printmaker. He was well known for his exploration s of subconscious imagery. This of course meant that he had to use mind-altering drugs such as LSD or Opium. He was an art student in Madrid and Barcelona.
